Teresa Hogan is a senior lecturer in Enterprise Development at DCU Business School. Her research interest lies in the performance of SMEs and focuses on financing, venture capital, technology, acquisitions and academic spin-offs. Teresa has published in finance, entrepreneurship and management journals including the Global Finance Journal, Venture Capital, Journal of Technology Transfer, Journal of Small Business Management and International Small Business Journal. Funded Projects include: Irish Research Council (2013) Assessing the Impact of Publicly Funded Research and Development in Ireland. Programme of Research in Third Level Institutions (2008) Knowledge Sharing and Transfer in University Research Centres. She also serves as an Academic Advisor to Mazars. Teresa obtained her PhD from University College Dublin and her Masters in Business Studies (Research) from DCU. At DCU, Teresa specialises in teaching high-technology entrepreneurship to multi disciplinary groups. She was the first recipient of the President's Award for Contribution to the University in 1999, for the promotion of Entrepreneurship at DCU. She was shortlisted for Teaching and Learning Awards in 2006, 2013 and 2014. She was Director of Doctoral Studies at DCUBS from 2011 to 2014 and has a strong track record in PhD supervision.
