DCU ARC presentation to An Garda Síochána’s Anti-Corruption Unit

Dr. Rob Gillanders, Co-Director of the DCU Anti-Corruption Research Centre (DCU ARC), recently presented to senior managers at An Garda Síochána’s Anti-Corruption Unit on the critical importance of fighting corruption effectively. Speaking on the pressing need for robust anti-corruption measures, Dr. Gillanders commended the unit for their dedication and strategic approach.

Reflecting on the event, Dr. Rob Gillanders said “We can fight corruption, but it is hard. Insights from social science, including economics, can give us good guidance as to what can work and tell us what works best.”

DCU ARC is Ireland’s first academic research centre exclusively focused on corruption and anti-corruption. This multidisciplinary centre brings together experts from across DCU’s faculties to advance research, policy development, and education on these vital issues.
