DCU Business School and UMass Sign Dual Degree Agreement
Dublin, 23 April 2026 — Dublin City University (DCU) Business School welcomed a senior delegation from the University of Massachusetts (UMass) system recently for the signing of a Dual Degree between UMASS Boston and DCUBS, as part of Global Business USA, marking a significant step in strengthening academic collaboration between Ireland and the United States.
The UMass delegation was led by Marty Meehan, President of UMass, and included Claire Cronin, former U.S. Ambassador to Ireland and Scholar in Residence at UMass; Marcelo Suárez-Orozco, Chancellor of UMass Boston; Ruairi O’Mahony; and Shaun P. Morgan.
The visit began with a formal welcome at DCU’s Glasnevin campus, followed by a hosted lunch at DCU Business School with Dáire Keogh, President of DCU. The afternoon programme featured remarks from Theo Lynn and President Keogh, alongside contributions from President Meehan and Chancellor Suárez-Orozco.

The delegation also toured DCU Business School’s Virtual Reality Lab, highlighting the university’s focus on innovation in teaching and research.
The agreement is expected to support expanded cooperation across a range of areas, including student mobility, joint research initiatives, and academic programme development, further strengthening ties between Dublin City University and the University of Massachusetts
