DCU Business School Launches ARIE Project to Advance AI-Driven Retail Innovation

Dublin City University Business School has announced the launch of a new research project, Autonomous Retail Intelligence Evolution (ARIE), which will run from 1 June 2026 to 31 March 2028.
The project is led by Pierangelo Rosati and Theo Lynn, and is being delivered in collaboration with Kilkenny Group. ARIE will focus on the design, testing, and implementation of AI and agentic AI solutions to enhance core retail operations, including inventory optimisation, customer personalisation, and demand forecasting.
A key component of the project will be the development of a governance and ethics framework to support transparency, ensure human oversight, and promote the responsible use of autonomous systems within a multi-channel retail environment.
The project was formally launched at DCU Business School with the attendance of Eimear McCarthy, representing Kilkenny Group.
