DCU Business School Research Supporting the UN Sustainable Development Goals
DCU Business School is pleased to publish the 2025 Dean’s Green List, highlighting the breadth and impact of research undertaken by our academic community in support of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The Green List showcases publications produced by DCU Business School researchers that contribute to addressing global sustainability challenges across areas such as decent work and economic growth, innovation, inequality, responsible consumption, climate action, and gender equality.
In 2025, DCU Business School researchers produced 79 unique SDG-related publications, including journal articles, book chapters, and conference papers. Many publications contributed to more than one SDG, resulting in a total of 140 SDG alignments across the 17 Goals.
The continued growth in SDG-related research activity reflects the School’s commitment to generating impactful, internationally relevant research that supports sustainable economic and societal development.

Key Highlights

- SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure) recorded the highest level of activity, with 26 related publications.
- SDG 10 (Reduced Inequalities) and SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth) also featured strongly, reflecting the School’s continued emphasis on inclusive growth, innovation, and societal impact.
- Research addressing SDG 5 (Gender Equality) continued to grow, with 16 publications contributing to this important area.
DCU Business School remains committed to advancing impactful research that supports the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals at local, national, and global levels.
The Responsible Business Committee (RBC) continues to support and promote sustainability-focused teaching, research, engagement, and collaboration across the Business School. The Green List forms part of the RBC’s ongoing work to highlight the contribution of DCU Business School researchers to the UN Sustainable Development Goals and to encourage further interdisciplinary engagement in responsible business research and practice.
