Michelle McDaid
Founder
The Leading Place
Michelle is the founder of The Leading Place, a purpose-driven startup helping organisations reimagine leadership and build cultures where both people and performance thrive. With over two decades of experience in technology leadership — most recently as Senior Director of Engineering at Workhuman — she brings deep expertise in leading globally distributed teams, scaling organisations, and navigating complex change.
She holds an MSc in Work & Organisational Behaviour from DCU, where her research focused on trust in remote and hybrid environments. Michelle is a qualified coach, an associate member of CIPD, and a passionate advocate for gender equity and women in technology.
Michelle has been recognised as a finalist in the Everywoman in Tech Awards and the Diversity in Tech Awards, listed in Diversein’s 133 Women Who Change the World, and included in the CTO Craft 100. Her thought leadership has been featured by Silicon Republic, The Business Post, and The Irish Examiner.
