Last Wednesday 5th April the EY Student Recruitment team attended the official opening of the DCU – EY Social Hub, proudly joined by EY Partner and Recruitment Sponsor, Dermot Daly, and Dean of DCU Business School, Anne Sinnott to cut the (appropriately coloured) yellow ribbon!
EY recently assisted in the transformation of the ground floor seating area of DCU Business School. EY in-house graphic designers designed the creative for the walls and installed a new interactive digital screen to allow the School to interact with students in a more innovative way. Catching the students’ eye as they leave their lectures hopes to be a lot more engaging than sending countless emails their way!

The digital screen also allows EY to promote undergraduate and graduate opportunities and provide information on campus events, live Twitter feeds and even real-time bus timetables. The comfortable hub is now an ideal space for students to meet to discuss their group projects or to just hang out and have a chat in between lectures.
The EY Social Hub provides a great opportunity to strengthen the relationship with DCU, in particular with the Business School and to engage with students outside of recruitment fairs and other on-campus events.

Caroline McAniff, Head of Recruitment – I’m really excited to see the DCU Business School EY Social Hub finished and the students enjoying it. It provides them with a great space to group study, share information or just hang out. In addition the new interactive Digital Screen allows the Business School communicate with their students in a much more innovative way. I’m looking forward to seeing the space get lots of use in the years to come.
Ursula Baxter, DCU Business School, Manager of Faculty Administration-The new DCU/EY Social Hub has been perfectly tailored for the students requirements & is a welcome addition to the Business School.
Professor Anne Sinnott, DCU BusinessSchool, Executive Dean – I am very pleased that this project has come to fruition, creating a new informative & social platform for students and visitors alike. DCU Business School prides itself on its impact on students and industry, focusing not only on knowledge acquisition but also on enhancing and developing professional and personal skills to develop the highly innovative managers of tomorrow.
