The Graduate Certificate in Financial Intelligence and Technology is delivered by DCU Business School in association with IFS Skillnet and is designed for people who want to add modern financial techniques and innovation expertise to their existing finance experience.
This level 9, postgraduate programme is provided through online distance learning, which means that students can achieve a deeper understanding in a specialist area and provide a sound basis for their long-term career, without disruption to their career or other commitments.
This progamme comprises four stand-alone microcredentials, each worth 7.5 credits, which can be taken individually or as a block to achieve the Graduate Certificate.
IFS Skillnet is co-funded by Skillnet Ireland and member companies. Its aim is to support the financial services sector in maintaining Ireland’s position as a top international financial services centre, through ongoing investment in the development of the skills and expertise of this workforce. As such there are a limited number of places on each microcredential course available with IFS Skillnet funding.
The final micro-credential is Module 4 ‘Design and User Experience for FinTech‘ module, taking place online over 9 weeks on a Wednesday evening, from 7pm – 8.30pm, January to April 2023.
Each microcredential will require a commitment of 3 hours per week for 9 weeks – 90 minutes of pre-recorded asynchronous material and 90 minutes of live class discussion, emphasising collaborative learning and interaction. Students should also allow for additional time for continued ready, group assignments etc.

This micro-credential guides you through an understanding of financial behaviour – we are driven in our decision-making by a whole range of emotions, heuristics, and cultural influences. This module starts by laying a foundation for understanding behavioural influences on financial decision-making.
The module is relevant to anyone wishing to acquire or deepen their knowledge of FinTech. Employees who might see the potential to introduce financial innovations, will particularly benefit.
