MSc in Digital Marketing – Yashraj Mate’s Graduate Story
Yashraj Mate recently completed a MSc in Digital Marketing from DCU Business School and is currently working in Amnet Ireland, a digital advertising agency. We spoke to Yashraj about his career, his experience at DCU Business School and his future plans.
I am Yashraj Mate, from Mumbai, India. I completed my Masters in Digital Marketing from DCU Business School. Choosing DCU for my Masters was a no brainer when I compared the course modules and structure with the same courses offered by other universities not only in Ireland but in Europe. The programme covered all the important aspects in Digital Marketing, right from the strategic level to campaign execution level giving me a chance to form strategies as well as execute them. During the course I got a chance to work in several groups of students coming from different backgrounds wherein we worked with various clients and got to showcase the skills we learned in the class.
I currently work for Dentsu Aegis Network’s Programmatic Advertising Agency named Amnet in Dublin, Ireland. My tech savvy nature and affinity for advertising developed a deep interest towards programmatic advertising. A concrete vision towards my career in programmatic advertising helped me in approaching relevant job roles. Discussions with guest lecturers working in digital agencies helped me a lot in shaping my thought process. I feel fortunate that I got a chance to work with a world class digital agency like Dentsu Aegis, where I get to work on various clients in the global market and learn more about the programmatic advertising ecosystem.
In the next 5 years, I plan to explore even more in this field, move one step ahead, and lead a team of programmatic specialists to create successful programmatic strategies and deliver best in class results for clients. In the long term, I want to be someone who is recognized for being a specialist in the field and create a trust in the minds of my clients for my expertise in the Digital Advertising.
I am thankful to DCU Business School for providing me a platform to learn more about digital marketing with a broad mind, introducing us to the most professional digital marketers out there who gave us valuable knowledge as well as career insights. I would also like to thank Amnet Ireland (Dentsu Aegis Network Ireland) who has given me a chance to showcase the skills and also develop me as a professional in the field of Programmatic Advertising.
