OUR STRUCTURE

Management Board

DCU Business School’s organisational and governance framework is set out in the image below.

Key leadership roles in the School, all of which are part of the School’s Management Board, the main decision-making body in the School, are as follows:

– Executive Dean. DCU Business School is led by the Executive Dean, Prof. Theo Lynn, who, with support from and in consultation with Associate Deans, Group Heads, and the School’s Management Board, is responsible for the strategic and operational leadership of the School.

– Associate Deans – Teaching and Learning, Research, Internationalisation. The primary academic activities of teaching, research, and internationalisation are overseen by the respective Associated Deans and related committees. Associate Deans are members of the Management Board, chairs of their respective committees, and members of relevant University committees.

– Heads of Academic Groups. The primary role of the Group Head is to provide academic and administrative leadership to one of the School’s three Academic Groups. The Heads of the Academic Groups are members of the Management Board and relevant University committees.

– Faculty Manager. The primary role of the Faculty Manager is the management of the School’s Professional and Administrative team. This team is structured around key activities – Programme Management, Marketing and Communications, etc. Representatives from the Administration team are members of all School committees.

– Commercial Director. The primary role of the Commercial Director is the development of the School’s executive education activity.

Academic Groups

DCU Business School’s academic structure is organised around three world-class groups:

– Financial and Operational Performance Group: Accounting; Finance; Operations Management; Business and Society.

– Enterprise and Innovation Group: Digital Business, Technology and Analytics; Entrepreneurship and Innovation; Economics; Marketing.

– Work, Psychology, and Strategy Group: HRM and Organisational Psychology; Strategy and International Business; Aviation Management.
