Professor Claire Gubbins Elected to Global HRD Board, Recognising Her Leadership in Bridging Research and Practice

Professor Claire Gubbins was elected to the board of the Academy of Human Resource Development (AHRD). AHRD is a global organization made up of, governed by, and created for the Human
Resource Development (HRD) scholarly community of academics and reflective practitioners whom research on and practice in the areas of workplace learning, organisational development, strategic learning and development, career development, learning evaluation, training and development and emerging developments impacting learning.
Her election by her peers globally is in recognition of her extensive research in the field of human resource development, her work in bridging the research-practice gap through, for example,
evidence based HRD and her interest in advancing the Learning and Development profession through for example the Masters in Strategic Learning & Development at Dublin City University Business School which she co-designed with L&DI and Skillnet and currently chairs.
