What is QTEM?

The QTEM network (Quantitative Techniques for Economics and Management) is an international network of universities with a high level of academic excellence, dedicated to educating professionals with strong quantitative and analytical skills applied to economics, finance, and management. QTEM offers a distinctive educational experience that combines academic rigor, international exposure, and a direct connection with the business world.

QTEM brings together universities, academic institutions and corporate partners committed to excellence in quantitative education applied to decision-making in complex economic and business environments. Its objective is to train analytical profiles capable of working with data, interpreting complex information, and leading projects in international contexts, combining advanced technical knowledge with a global and strategic perspective.

The QTEM experience

The QTEM experience includes:

International academic mobility
The opportunity to complete one semester at a QTEM member university, taking modules with a strong quantitative focus in different countries and academic contexts.
Analytical and digital training
The development of skills in data analysis, applied data science, and the communication of results, which are essential for data-driven professional environments.
Mandatory professional internships
Completion of a minimum of 240 hours of professional internships in companies or institutions, enabling students to apply the knowledge acquired in a real-world setting and enhance their employability.
Global Business Analytics Challenge
Participation in an international business analytics challenge based on real data provided by companies, fostering teamwork, critical thinking, and complex problem-solving.

Universities and destinations

The QTEM network is made up of more than 20 universities and academic partners across four continents, offering a wide range of international destinations and educational approaches.

Through this network, students can complete part of their studies at internationally recognised universities in Europe, the Americas, Asia, and Africa, broadening both their academic perspective and their international professional network.

The diversity of destinations and specialisations allows students to shape an academic experience aligned with their professional interests and goals, always with a strong quantitative component.

Recognition and certificate

Once the QTEM programme requirements have been completed alongside the MSc in Quantitative Economics for International Business & Management at Dublin City University Business School, students are awarded the QTEM certificate.

This certificate attests to advanced training in quantitative techniques, an international academic experience, and the completion of professional internships, and is recognised as a mark of excellence by multinational companies, financial institutions, and international organisations.
