Dr Cliona McParland specialises in Global Strategy and Digital Transformation at Dublin City University. Her research focuses on public sector digital innovation and transformation, and her work has guided the governance policies of An Garda Síochána. Other research interests include digital disruption, global innovation and the future of work.
Her research work is highly regarded and has been recognised with a number of international awards and distinctions including “Best Review Paper” for paper “Technology-Related Privacy Concerns: A Review” by the IADIS International Conference Committee Information Systems as well as “Best Presenter/Presentation” for the presentation of paper entitled “Technology-Related Privacy Concerns: A Critical Assessment” by the Advisory Board for The Global Management and Information Technology Research Conference 2008, in New York.
She was recently appointed to the Irish Academy of Managements Digital Platform steering group in 2021.
