Dr. Husain Salilul Akareem is an Assistant Professor of Digital Marketing at DCU Business School, Dublin City University, Ireland.
He has experience in teaching, research, and partnerships with diverse groups of people across three different continents. Prior to DCU, he worked at the International University of Japan, North South University, University of Queensland, Queensland University of Technology, and BRAC University.
Dr. Akareem completed his Ph.D. from the Queensland University of Technology in 2017. His research focuses on consumer/customer engagement, social media marketing, and value co-creation in service marketing and subsistence market contexts. His research also includes mapping different cultural contexts across the world to understand the diversity of service consumption to facilitate future strategy. His research projects were published in top-tier journals including the International Journal of Research in Marketing, Journal of Marketing Management, and Journal of Services Marketing.
Dr. Akareem is interested in future collaborations with researchers specialized in social media marketing, healthcare information system, application of technology in marketing, mobile communication, and image/media analytics.
