DCU Business School strengthening Ties in China
In late June 2014 David Jacobson went to the northeast of China. He gave a keynote speech at the GIEC (Global Innovation Economics Conference) in Dalian and then spent two weeks lecturing on Industrial Economics at NEU, Northeastern University of China, in Shenyang. His text book, with Bernadette Andreosso, Industrial Economics and Organization: A European Perspective (McGraw-Hill, 2005) was published in Chinese in 2010, and is the set text for the students at NEU.
NEU, among the top universities in China, is a strategic partner of DCU Business School. Visits in both directions have taken place, of professors, deans and even university presidents. NEU graduates who have come to DCU include Dr. Na Fu and, following in her footsteps, PhD student Xiaoning Liang. Prof. Jacobson’s visit will help to further develop the partnership.
