DCU Business School Launches 2025 Practicum Project, Partnering Students with Industry for Real-World Impact

DCU Business School is excited to announce the launch of its 2025 Practicum Project, a flagship initiative connecting postgraduate students with industry partners to tackle real-world business challenges. Running from January to July 2025, this programme allows MSc students to work as “junior consultants,” providing fresh insights and practical solutions to businesses at no cost.
The Practicum Project is an integral part of DCU’s commitment to blending academic excellence with hands-on experience. Over a focused time period from January to July, small teams of students from diverse MSc programmes—including Management, International and Accounting and Business —will address specific business challenges ranging from market research and strategy development to operational analysis.
Past projects have yielded impactful results in areas such as:
- Market entry strategies for international expansion
- Business process improvements
- Product demand forecasting
Industry partners play a pivotal role, providing guidance and feedback while gaining innovative solutions and new perspectives on their operations. “Many organisations find these collaborations immensely valuable, often uncovering opportunities they hadn’t considered,” says the Practicum Team.
This initiative is a testament to DCU Business School’s dedication to equipping students with practical skills while delivering meaningful contributions to the business community. Interested companies can learn more by emailing practicum@dcu.ie or connecting with Tom Tully and Eric Paquin
