DCU Business School’s Professor David Collings named Most Influential HR Thinker 2017
Last night HR magazine unveiled the 2017 HR Most Influential rankings at an exclusive networking event in Claridge’s.
The HR Most Influential rankings, sponsored by Open University Business School, recognise the HR practitioners and thinkers pushing the field of people strategy forward. HR Most Influential is now in its 12th year.
Professor David Collings has been named as one of the Most Influential Thinkers in the field of HR for four consecutive years by HR magazine (2014 to 2017).
David Collings is Professor of HRM at Dublin City University Business School in Ireland where he is co-director of the Leadership and Talent Institute. He is a leading international expert on talent management and global mobility and is currently based at Cornell University’s Industrial and Labor Relations School as a Fulbright Scholar.
Professor Collings said,
“I am truly honoured to make the HR Most Influential list again this year. To be sharing this ranking with some of those that have really influenced my own thinking on HR is humbling. Given the emphasis that we place on the translation of our research into insights that are practically applicable here at DCU Business School it is particularly exciting to see this aspect of my work recognised. The ranking is also a reflection of the contributions of my many co-authors with whom I have conducted much of this research and indeed my wonderful colleagues in the Leadership and Talent Institute here at DCU who are leading the research conversations in so many areas globally.”
He has published numerous papers in leading international outlets and seven books and his work is regularly cited in media and other outlets. His most recent project, The Oxford Handbook of Talent Management with Wayne Cascio and Kamel Mellahi will be published in September 2017.
