Professor Janine Bosak Elected To The Careers Division Of The Academy Of Management

Janine Bosak, Professor of Organisational Psychology Dublin City University Business School has been elected to the Leadership Track of the Careers Division of the Academy Of Management.

During her five year term Janine will serve as PDW Chair, Programme Chair, Division Chair-Elect, Division Chair, and Immediate Past Chair in succession over the coming years.

The Academy of Management is the preeminent professional association for management and organization scholars, whose worldwide members are professors and PhD students in business schools at universities, academics in related social science and other fields, and practitioners who value knowledge creation and application.

The Careers Division of the Academy of Management supports research, teaching, and practice focused on people’s lifelong succession of work experiences, the structure of opportunity to work, and the relationship between careers and other aspects of life.

Janine Bosak is Full Professor in Organisational Psychology/Behaviour and HRM at Dublin City University Business School and is currently the Business School EDI Committee Chair and Programme Chair for the MSc in Work and Organisational Psychology / Business.

Janine served as Executive Committee Member of the European Association of Work and Organizational Psychology (EAWOP) from 2017 to 2022 and was Research Director of the Leadership and Talent Institute (LTI) from 2016-2023 and Director of Doctoral Studies from 2014-2019.

Janine is a certified and trained business coach who advances the systemic and solution-focused approach to coaching.
Janine has published in journals including Journal of Organizational Behavior, Personality and Social Psychology Bulletin, Human Resource Management (US), Human Resource Management Journal, and British Journal of Management. Her research programme has attracted several fellowships, grants and awards from bodies including the European Science Foundation (ESF), Swiss National Foundation (SNF), German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), Society of Personality and Social Psychology (SPSP) and the Ireland Canada University Foundation (ICUF). Currently, Janine is a Consulting Editor of the Journal of Occupational and Organizational Psychology (JOOP) and the European Journal of Social Psychology (EJSP). She serves on various editorial boards (e.g. HRMJ, JPP, JOEPP). She is also a member of the Academy of Management, the European Association of Work and Organisational Psychology, and the European Association of Social Psychology.
